Ycee is the latest Nigerian music act to land an international deal with music giants Sony.
News has it that Tinny Entertainment rapper has cut a distribution deal with Sony Music Entertainment. He joins the growing list of Nigerian artistes that have a contract with Sony, like Davido and Wizkid.
The new deal will see the ‘Jagaban’ crooner release his first E.P, The First Wave under the music distribution company.
Confirming the deal, General Manager, Sony Music West Africa, Michael Ugwu, says, ‘I’m extremely proud to welcome Ycee to the Sony Music Entertainment West Africa family. I’ve watched this team grow over the past few years and I am amazed at how they have navigated the industry to reach this stage. Ycee is the future of Hip Hop in Africa and will be front and centre of SME West Africa’s strategy as we take Africa to the World’.
